According to the player ratings, the best performing player at the tournament was Belgium’s Eden Hazard. He wasn’t quite able to lead his nation to the World Cup final but he performed valiantly, earning himself an upgrade in FIFA’s World Cup mode.
His new card has the highest possible rating of 99, a feat Hazard has never achieved before. The ridiculous card is stacked with 98 pace, 99 dribbling, 99 shooting, 99 passing and 92 physicality plus four-star skills and weak-foot.
Facing Belgium in the third-place playoff is England who disappointingly lost to Croatia. While football may not be coming home, they managed to inspire a nation who had very little hope left.
Their heroics have resulted in three of them being included in the squad, Harry Maguire, Kieran Trippier and Karry Kane.
Maguire was a commanding presence both at the back and going forward, leading to an interesting centre-back card. With an overall of 88, he has 70 pace, 80 dribbling, 90 defending, 88 passing and 92 physicality plus 87 heading in his in-game stats.
Trippier scored his first ever goal for England against Croatia and has capped off his excellent tournament with a 90-rated card which has 89 pace, 89 dribbling 91 defending, 96 passing and 87 physicality.
And finally Kane, who is likely to receive the golden boot with six goals, has been rewarded with a 95-rated card stacked with amazing stacks including 85 pace, 93 dribbling, 98 shooting, 89 passing and 92 physicality.
