If England’s players are feeling the pressure ahead of their World Cup semi-final against Croatia it isn’t showing.
Instead joy was etched across the faces of the players and manager Gareth Southgate and his No 2 Steve Holland as Kyle Walker took on the ‘forfeit tunnel’ with blows raining down on him at their Repino training base.
Ashley Young had been due to run the gauntlet on his 33rd birthday, but Walker was last player out on to the training pitch.

With players either side, Walker had to run through the middle before emerging smiling. On Wednesday night, however, things turn serious for England, who face Croatia in their first World Cup semi-final since 1990.
Everyone was keen to leave their mark on the 28-year-old, who grasped his head in pain afterwards while the rest of the squad laughed uncontrollably.
Southgate’s squad are looking ahead to the country’s first World Cup semi-final in 28 years when they face Croatia for a place in the final against either France or Belgium.

Earlier on Monday attacking duo Dele Alli and Raheem Sterling were pictured skipping in the early stages of training in Repino.
Captain Harry Kane was not pictured participating, however, preferring to work on his flexibility as he sat on the floor. Manchester United team-mates Ashley Young and Phil Jones watched on from a pair of exercise bikes.
Should England overcome Croatia on Wednesday night, it will be the country’s first major tournament final in 52 years.
Southgate enters the last-four match with a full-strength team and he is expected to name the same line-up as the one that overcame Sweden in the quarter-finals over the weekend.
