The versatile winger helped United progress to the semi-finals of the FA Cup on Saturday evening, where they will face Tottenham at Wembley after beating Brighton 2-0.
Along with being selected for the two friendlies, United also triggered a one-year extension in his contract to keep him at Old Trafford until 2019.
During the international break, the Three Lions will face Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands side this Friday at the Amsterdam ArenA.
Southgate’s men will face another side who will miss out on this year’s finals when they come up against Italy a week on Tuesday.
Young also received a call-up for the friendly matches against Brazil and Germany in November last year, with both games ending in a goalless stalemate.
