Spain trained on Wednesday ahead of their World Cup warm-up matches.

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid players were on show as team-mates from their Real Madrid rivals are yet to join up with the squad following the Champions League final.

Julen Lopetegui’s side face Switzerland and Tunisia before heading to Russia for the tournament.

Dani Carvajal, Nacho, Sergio Ramos, Isco, Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez were all absent from training at the City of Soccer sport complex, in Las Rozas, outside Madrid after being involved in their 13th European Cup triumph last Saturday.

Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets and Gerard Pique and Atletico’s Koke and Diego Costa were all pictured taking part in the session.

Lopetegui put his side through various drills as the countdown to the World Cup in Russia continues.

Andres Iniesta, who was unveiled as a Vissel Kobe player last Saturday after joining the Japanese side from Barcelona, was also snapped training on Wednesday. 

Spain begin their quest for a second world crown with a Group B opener against Portugal on June 15. 

They then take on Iran on June 20 and Morocco in their final group game on June 25.
